Eowyn is a daughter of horse lords, a shield-maiden of the mighty nation of Rohan. As the darkness of Mordor continues to overtake the lands of Middle-earth, she finds herself losing hope for herself and her country. She decides to stowaway as an undercover soldier as her uncle, the king, and his army goes to aid the armies of Gondor. Though there may not be much hope for winning this war, she aspires to die nobly while fighting for her land and world - except she does not find death, but finds a surprising alternative ending with something else entirely: hope.
