Mia Frisk is a loner. She loves reading and is talented when it comes to writing. Her heart is golden. She is also half animal. The power to shape-shift into any animal generated so much power and control, that it came from a different power of magic. She is fully in control--until one night. A full moon comes one night, and the next, Mia finds herself as a suspect for three murders. They are all stung on their neck, and the blood dripping from Mia's teeth doesn't prove otherwise. Meanwhile, a strange presence is within Mia's heart. She feels revenge, and her power to shape shift only works with anger, instead of hope. Not to mention her suddenly blue lips and almost white hair, slowly fading into the color of ice. She's taken a new form. What happened that night, and who really is the murderer? Or maybe she is. Maybe she's the one with the Heart of Ice.

Call Wolf

Maria can't explain what she is or what she's done. After all, it shouldn't be possible for a human to conjur fire from nothing but pure will, but that hasn't stopped her before. She can't remember how she ends up bloodied, beaten half to death on a deserted doorstep in the middle of the night, but she can remember him, bringing her in. He's a little reserved but she doesn't mind, especially as they have something in common: neither one is supposed to exist outside of nightmares and folklore. Few people know Maria exists. All of them want her dead. None have felt the wrath of her new friend yet. This is an impossible story and you'd do best pretending you've never heard it.
