Inside the stone The Lady holds ever so gently is a powerful monster who was never meant to live for more than to die. And yet, even Nüwa, Lady of Life, can be surprised by its strange twists in fate.
Today was always going to happen, the hatching and sacrifice was always meant to happen. And yet, the Lovely Goddess almost feels as if she should have predicted one of her most impulsive and creative children would somehow do a job not meant for him, and yet find a fix she could not have imagined.
She laughs softly at the irony of her situation, wondering what fate has in store now. It always seems to contradict itself at every turn.

OR an alternate universe where the world ends during Monkey Kings journey to the west and he manages to save the world BEFORE Mk is hatched to complete his duty. And so, Lady Nüwa, knowing Mk is too powerful for the world to handle, decides to raise him in her temple.

Successor AU (Monkie Kid story)
Plot: Mk, Mei, and Redson were all born in the same time period in this AU. So ancient China basically. Wukong raised Mk, Macaque raised Mei, and Nezha raised Redson. Wukong is sort of an obsessive yandere in this. His whole goal is to find wherever Macaque ran off to all these years. Macaque basically adopted Mei, even though he doesn't quite know how to be a parent. Nezha raised Redson, attempting to tame his firey anger and stray him from the path of villainy. Lost in Chaos
Macaque sets out on a journey to find answers about his powers, and information on the Nine Headed Demon before MK and the others get hurt. Through his journey he encounters many leads, friends, and enemies. Macaque has to fight not only demons on his journey, but inner demons as well. Will Macaque become, Lost in Chaos? --- This story takes place directly after the events of season 5 in LMK. --- This story will have blood in it, as well as angst. It will dive into the pasts of Macaque and Wukong. As well as the pasts of the Nine Headed Demon. Characters from both the book and the show will appear in this, as well as some from Chinese mythology. The story has a slow progression but one you don't want to miss! This is intended as a YA Fiction. --- There is a prologue for those who haven't watched the show, or read the book, in chapter 1! Before the events of MK's journey, reader moves into the city, and works at a cafe as the baker. She keeps her powers a secret with the idea that magic does not exist, and her empathy abilities are different compared to a diagnosis. She lives a peaceful life until she encounters the Monkey King which makes her question herself throughout the story. He helps her unlock her true potential, and during their time together they gain feelings for one another. However, one of them is not being honest with themselves thus causes a rift between the two throughout the story allowing another player (Macaque) to swoop in for reader's comfort.Complete

In the middle of a raining night, the sound of a crying child could be heard. As lights got turned on in a building an elderly woman came out of the building holding an umbrella. "What is going on out here?" The woman caught the sound of the crying child, and followed the sound until she found a human child laying on the ground crying out in pain. The child's left arm was bleeding and covered in scars. "By buddha! What did this!?" The woman looked around but couldn't see anyone else around, so she gently picked up the crying child and carried it back into the building she came from.
