Inside the stone The Lady holds ever so gently is a powerful monster who was never meant to live for more than to die. And yet, even Nüwa, Lady of Life, can be surprised by its strange twists in fate.
Today was always going to happen, the hatching and sacrifice was always meant to happen. And yet, the Lovely Goddess almost feels as if she should have predicted one of her most impulsive and creative children would somehow do a job not meant for him, and yet find a fix she could not have imagined.
She laughs softly at the irony of her situation, wondering what fate has in store now. It always seems to contradict itself at every turn.

OR an alternate universe where the world ends during Monkey Kings journey to the west and he manages to save the world BEFORE Mk is hatched to complete his duty. And so, Lady Nüwa, knowing Mk is too powerful for the world to handle, decides to raise him in her temple.

The day the war ended was the day Sun Wukong welcomed his new son into the world, and the day he put his Staff down for good. Nearly 18 years later, the world seems to turn upside down when his son and a random human boy lift his Staff and put into motion utter CHAOS. His son is speaking nonsense, his little brother Nezha wants nothing to do with him, some random human child can wield his staff, and now they are on the brink of war with the Lady Bone demon. Could things get any worse? Or: Macaque and Wukong unknowingly have twins. One is taken from them to be raised with humans, while the other stays with them. 18 years later, their son runs away into the mortal realm and meets an odd human boy named MK. MK and Qi Xiaotian are two separate people and twins.
Successor AU (Monkie Kid story)
Plot: Mk, Mei, and Redson were all born in the same time period in this AU. So ancient China basically. Wukong raised Mk, Macaque raised Mei, and Nezha raised Redson. Wukong is sort of an obsessive yandere in this. His whole goal is to find wherever Macaque ran off to all these years. Macaque basically adopted Mei, even though he doesn't quite know how to be a parent. Nezha raised Redson, attempting to tame his firey anger and stray him from the path of villainy. In the middle of a raining night, the sound of a crying child could be heard. As lights got turned on in a building an elderly woman came out of the building holding an umbrella.
