Lydia Prestidian is part of the Epaia Ruling in Angola, Southern Africa. After the British take over, it is custom that the founding families have a King or Queen to represent their name. Usually the families encourage males to try and enter, so when Lydia decides to enter her name, the family are embarrassed by her actions, and decide to disinherit her. But when Marco, the present Prescott King finds out her fate, he takes pity on her and invites her to his family. Lydia is torn between earning her families acceptance, and living the life she'd always dreamed of.........
