'badla le rahi ho mujh se?' he had asked.

'badla? Badlon ko rehny hi do shah, warna tumhara aur mera hisab boht dur tak jaye ga' she said standing up from her spot. Gathering the wrapping papers, she turned away to throw them in the trash can in the corner of the room.

But as she turned, she was sure she heard him say 'to chalty hain, dur tak chalty hain mehru' in a soft whisper.

"𝘛𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦" ................ "Y-you're married?" It wasn't a question. It was a statement, spoken like an acknowledgment of something he didn't want to believe. Sayantika lifted her head, her face a mask of indifference, while Vedikaa looked up at both of them, confusion etched into her young features. "Were. I was married." Her voice was steady, emotionless. She gripped Vedikaa's hand and began to walk away, but Abhiansh, desperate for answers, grabbed her wrist, halting her steps. The touch sent a shock through them both, years of unsaid words trapped in that single gesture. She turned back, her gaze falling to his hand on her wrist, then lifting to meet his eyes. "It would be better if you left my hand, Mr. Shakhawat. You're here for your work," she said coldly, her words like ice. With a sharp jerk, she freed herself from his grip, and walked away, leaving him to collapse under the weight of everything left unspoken. As she disappeared from view, a broken whisper slipped from his lips. "Ouchh," I cried trying to balance. I looked up at him with soft eyes, flushed cheeks. He looked into my eyes with his knitted ones. His hair lying over his sweaty forehead. I never presumed to glimpse him this close. His photographs conveyed his good looks but his dominating aura was hard to handle. I was feeling scared to even breathe in his arms. Bringing his fingers to my face he gently pushed hair strands behind my ear. I lowered my eyes feeling extremely shy. "Sambhal kar chaliye zara, har waqt bahein nahi hongi hamari sambhalne ko," he said in a scratchy tone. There was a hint of taunt present. I knitted my brows to his words and quickly matched his aura. "Hume chahiye bhi nahi," I said glaring at him. He shot his eyebrows a little and I pushed him to leave angrily. Turning around I stepped up on another dumbbell and slipped over it again. I threw my hands in the air for support and once again found him snaking my waist and pulling my back closer to his chest. "Are you sure," he asked over my ears. I angrily looked back at him, found him smirking. "Baahon mein girte girte, mohabbat me mat giriyega hamare," he whispered looking into my eyes. "Kabhi nahi," I replied and left. I royally ignored his taunt only to end up marrying him. Day by day my feelings for him grew stronger though finding happiness was becoming a risky game. But I was heartbroken upon discovering that he only married me out of pity and loved someone else who he was to marry. Not having parents from young age now made me helpless. It felt good to leave home where my family cared for me all these years, after my parents. I did not want to go back and be a burden again. But living this life with him didn't seem fruitful either. This is love story of Tejas Pratap Rathore and Sunaina Maan Singh. Storyline takes place in the early years of 21st century (2001). A beloved saga tying them together in love and commitment whilst they dwell over misunderstandings and growing feelings.

Inspired by the show Iqtidar. I personally loved the beginning of the show and would have loved to see Shah and Mehru become a power couple who bring about positive change. However, the show has chosen a different direction. It's starting to head in that direction now, but I thought, why not give it a fresh spin from the start? So, enjoy this version, and feel free to let me know how I can improve the story! Synopsis: In a world divided by political tension and social unrest, two people-opposites in every sense-find themselves bound by an unbreakable love that ignites a revolution. She is fierce and idealistic with a passion for justice, driven to give a voice to the marginalised. He, on the other hand, is a strategic political powerhouse, a man of calculated moves and power, deeply rooted in tradition and a belief in structure. Despite their stark differences, their undeniable chemistry brings them together in a union that defies expectation. Their story is not just about love, but about the sacrifices they make for their family, their people, and their nation. Together, they balance the demands of familial duty with the weight of social and political change, facing personal challenges, public scrutiny, and the pressures of a world that tries to tear them apart. As their bond deepens, so does their influence. They become a power couple unlike any before, using their combined strengths to shake the very core of their society, causing change that is as passionate as it is revolutionary. But their journey is far from easy. As they navigate their personal dreams, love, and duty, they discover that the true power lies not in what they can conquer alone, but in what they can achieve together. As they face the storms of life, they discover that their greatest strength is each other-two souls united by passion and purpose, ready to rewrite history. This is the story of a love so powerful it shakes the world and paves the way for a new future.

Her heart raced, but she kept her gaze fixed on the horizon, refusing to meet his eyes. "You had your chance, Aryan. You made your choice." "I know I hurt you. I didn't mean for it to happen this way," he said, taking another step closer. "I was wrong, but I'm not the same person I was before. I want to fix this."
