Old Bonds

Years ago, Lavenia was Aesop's partner, employed by the British Ministry of Magic as an auror alongside him. They are officers protecting the wizarding world, their job, to catch dark wizards. Aesop receives a bad injury on a mission and is forced to retire, taking up residence at Hogwarts as its potion's professor. Its 1892, 10 years after the incident. Aesop is now 38 and Lavenia is 29, they didn't keep in touch after he transferred to the school, not a single owl was exchanged between the two. Now the Daily Prophet is abuzz with news of an Azkaban escapee putting everyone on edge, in order to keep Hogwarts safe, the ministry stations Lavenia, a now seasoned auror, at the school as an extra measure of security. Can once severed bonds be mended as Aesop and Lavenia are forced back into each other's lives, constantly crossing paths?
