Charlotte Morgan, better known as Lottie, has never had the most normal life. Her parents disappeared when she was nine years old, and she was taken in by her aunt and uncle in Whitechapel. Ever since then, strange things always seem to happen to her, and she's never been able to figure out why. Her only goal for her first year at Whitechapel High School is to keep her head down and survive with her cousin Ethan, and her childhood friends Benny and Rory by her side.

Lottie wasn't trying to make new friends, but technically Jesse Black wasn't a new friend, just, no one knew that they were already friends before Lottie started high school. But when Lottie finds out that Jesse might know something about her parents' disappearance, and that he's not really her friend after all, she spirals down a dark path.

Follow Lottie as she comes face to face with her past, loses the one friend she thought she'd always have, and discovers who she really is, all while trying to help Ethan, Benny, and Rory with the paranormal messes they keep getting into.
