وفي اللحظة التي لامس فيها جلد الكتاب أطراف أناملها، شعرت بشيء أشبه بتيار كهربائي، لكنه لم يكن مؤلمًا، بل كان كدفءٍ غامض اخترق روحها. شعرت كأن الكتاب ينبض بالحياة.

وفجأة، شعرت بجذبٍ قوي. لم تكن يديها هي ما أُمسكت بالكتاب، بل بدا وكأن الكتاب أمسك بها. قوة غير مرئية بدأت تلتف حولها، الهواء أصبح كثيفًا، وضوءٌ ذهبي انبعث من الصفحات ليُحيط بها. حاولت التراجع، لكن قدميها لم تُطاوعاها، وكأنها مُسيرة لهذا المصير.


قبل أن تُدرك ما يحدث، أحاطها الضوء تمامًا، وسمعت صوتًا بعيدًا، غريبًا لكنه مألوف:
"لقد انتظرتك طويلًا... الآن تبدأ القصة."
