The probability of any error was just 0.001%. Anyone would have said the code was flawless. But reality proved otherwise. A catastrophic error occurred inside the game. Whoever died in the game, died in the real world. The job Max had always dreamed of became a digital nightmare. Now, he must face deadly trials, mind-twisting puzzles, and nearly impossible enemies. Thanks to the figure known only as The Master, humanity has been able to travel through space, exploit new resources, and colonize distant planets. But this expansion has also drawn the attention of various alien species, leading to numerous conflicts with humankind. To face these threats without sacrificing too many human lives, the company created the Murder Drones. These combat drones proved their worth by eliminating the fearsome cyborgs, earning the trust of humans who now see them as heroes. As for the other drones, they revere them almost like gods. However, the fragile peace recently achieved was shattered when a mysterious "disease" began infecting certain drones, driving them into uncontrollable frenzies where they slaughter everything in sight. We follow Elisabeth, a drone who lost everything to this affliction and now desperately seeks a cure.
