Josephine and Rhaenyra were the best of twin sisters and friends, two halves of the same coin, friends of Otto's daughters, Alice and Alicent.

but after Alicent married Rhaenyra's father, Viserys.
Which fundamentally breaks their friendship by placing Alicent in a position of power as Queen, directly challenging Rhaenyra's claim to the throne and creating a major conflict of interest between them.
A war between kin, a war between Rhaenyra and her half brother, Aegon. Both fighting over who is to sit on the iron throne and to rule over the seven kingdoms.
Viserys Targaryen had publicly named Rhaenyra as his heir, but after his death, the court faction supporting Queen Alicent declared Aegon as king instead.
Josephine being gone for eight years, had caused some chaos within the family, and as she returned home, she soon found out that her family were on different sides. and she is to marry her youngest half brother, Aemond.
