Since Brayden Trastámara moved from New Jersey in the 6th grade to the small Southeast Texas town of Orangewood, he and Tad Evans have been best friends, practically inseparable. Junior year is poised to be their best year yet. Brayden is handsome, popular, a tennis star, and the leader of the percussion in the all state band. Tad has won class favorite the last three years, is on the cusps of winning the class presidency, and is captain of the applauded track and tennis teams. Their relationship has always been close, but they have a secret, hardly an inconspicuous one though. Their much rumored romance is one of passion and comradery, but it's under constant threat.
