Sage, along with her pals Lexie, Esme, and Grey, are part of a special police force unit that was asked to go to Barangay 17 due to the case that had been assigned to them. Four friends had a profound tie that was strengthened by the police unit to which they all belonged. 

However, on the day of the misa de gallo, some people disseminated reports about the unlikely killer who had transmitted the curse of the new town that they had visited.
