Vincent Ishii-Peters never fitted right in with his siblings, sure he is also considered weird and an outcast, but being adopted was a new one for everyone at Trailveiw Middle School.

Vincent never really gets on why Maya dislikes him, or the fact everyone at school seems to look at him and whisper, was it because of his parents? His past? or the fact that he hasn't come out as gay yet? He really didnt know, nor did he want to ever know.


But that all changes in 7th grade, new drama, new friends, new crushes, and new bullies. Though as far as Vincent concerns, he always wondered why Brandt Jackson and Alex Nolan are staring at him from afar, and that, overall scared him more than middle school.

Octaveus was depressed. He knew it, but no one else did. He hid it, just as he hid his scars. He wasn't human either; he hid that too. He hid almost everything about himself from everyone, in order to minimize the ridicule. His mental state, his thoughts, his scars, even his questionable sexuality. But that only fed into his sadness. Drew was insecure. He didn't like standing up for himself in fear of saying something wrong. He didn't even change in the main locker room for PE, he went in the stalls. He was anxious.
