Indi (16, bookish, shy) lives a life by fractured discord. Her parents' arguments were sharp and bitter like shards of glass, echoing through the thin walls of their small home, a constant low-hum of resentment that vibrated within her bones. At school, she was a target, a silent bookish girl, easy to push around. The bullying has left her bruised and broken, both physically and mentally. The thought of ending it all was tempting.

Noah (17, charismatic, misunderstood) a new kid with a mop of unruly brown hair and a troubled past of his own. His parents, unable to accept his expulsion from his previous school, shipped him off to live with his uncle. The first time he actually saw Indi, she was utterly humiliated. He saw the way she was treated and understood completely. This was supposed to be his fresh start, but maybe it could be Indi's, too.
