She stood in the middle of the rooftop, clenching and unclenching her fists. The cool breeze swept over her, yet her insides burned with rage. Her dry lips quivered as her eyes fixed on the woman in a scarlet-red Paithani saree, her back turned toward her.

"It doesn't matter," Mrs. Malhotra said coldly. "You have 24 hours to give me your answer. If you accept my condition, I assure you, Aashvi will be embraced as the granddaughter of this family. We will treat her as our own child-this I promise. The choice is yours."
