Chan was supposed to be living the dream.

After years of grueling studies, he finally earned a spot with the ORC (Orion Research Corp), one of the leading space exploration companies in Korea.

But reality couldn't have been more different. Instead of exploring new worlds or working with groundbreaking tech, he's stuck cleaning the space station's halls and doing late-night patrols. His potential is wasted, and the excitement he once felt quickly fades into disappointment.

That is, until one night, when something unusual shows up on the radar-a blip. At first, he brushes it off, assuming it's a glitch, but his curiosity leads him to something-or someone-that will change everything.

The alien eyed the pack warily, its brows furrowed. It didn't move.

Chan sighed, tearing it open and holding out a piece. "Look, it's fine. See?" He popped a small bite into his mouth, chewing demonstratively. "Good. Not gonna kill you."

The alien hesitated, then slowly reached out, taking the pack from Chan's hands. It examined the contents carefully, its fingers brushing over the edges like it was unfamiliar with the material. When it finally took a bite, its nose wrinkled slightly, but it didn't stop eating.

Chan couldn't help but smile faintly. "Yeah, tastes like cardboard, doesn't it? Welcome to space rations."

The alien tilted its head at him, clearly not understanding. Chan shook his head. "Never mind."
