In a world where everyone has powers, except some, there are four factions:
Ash and ruin, Exypnos, Gratuit, and menders. Ash and Ruin is where the best fighters are picked to fight for their country in the most dangerous battle known to humankind, the final battle between Exfashia and Meccoria. But this year will be different. Instead of going through the routine where three years are done before graduation, there will be three trials. A physical test, a mental one, and the final, a combination of the two. 370 students will arrive. 50 will make it out. But during her stay at Ash and Ruin, Melissa will meet Aidan, beautiful and mysterious, but also the son of the man who killed her brother, and swore revenge against.
Will Melissa be one of the 50 students who make it out alive?
And will her thirst for revenge be too much, or will the mixed attraction between her and Aidan prevail against all odds?
