A world where powers called Essence shaped society, a fragile peace that lasted for centuries, is on the brink of chaos. Wyann Nyx Casterian, an officer of the Shadow Division, is sent on a mission to stop Hive, a mysterious group that plans to recover an old machine. During a confrontation, he finds the truth behind the machine. While going home from school, Jazz Haero, a 18-year-old from a distant world consumed by pain and suffering, has spent his life clinging to the hope of change.
Then, in one life-altering moment, everything shifts, and he meets Wyann. Pulled into another world, Jazz believes he's found something better. The two become intertwined, and they uncover a missing-persons case with a connection to Jazz, Hive's plan, and the society. Jazz leads the confrontation with the doubts and fears that have held him back for so long, while Wyann confronts the past that he's been hiding. Pushed to their limits, one is forced to a new path that will lead him to lose himself, while another struggles to find the reason to go on.
