Starting at the beginning of Season 4, Lancelot and Merlin manage to close the rift without a sacrifice. With Arthur curious about magic, Merlin finds himself revealing his talents to the most trusted of the knights and to the prince. Together they decide that they will bring magic back to Camelot when Arthur becomes king. Also, a funny Merlin meme in every chapter. For no reason, just cause I liked them. And I don't own Merlin, obviously. Just the story.

Merthur AU (Set around early season 4) Arthur Pendragon is the new king of Camelot having assumed the throne after his father's death at the hands of his sister, Morgana. One day while out on a hunt, a Druid appears, telling him of his destiny; a man named Emrys who resides in Ealdor. The Druid advises the king to seek out the man, for Arthur's destiny cannot begin without him, for he is Morgana's doom. Merlin is a young warlock living in the small farming village of Ealdor. His life is quiet. He spends his days toiling away at the fields with his best friend Will while honing his magical talents with the help of his mentor, Gaius, the physician from Camelot who visits on occasion. When he meets Arthur Pendragon, he can't help but hate the prat. Of course, until he gets to know him better. Meanwhile, Morgana scours the kingdom for the sorcerer Emrys. Desperate to find him before he finds her. When her search leads her towards Ealdor, she's surprised to find Arthur there, and with a scrawny peasant boy no less. As their paths cross in the usually uneventful village, it becomes a race between the son and daughter of Uther Pendragon to either save or destroy Emrys.

But he's learning nothing in Henry V's court that will help him free his friends before they're executed. It's just not shaping up to be a very good Christmas. Please read book 1 first if you haven't already! Living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Triggers/Content: same/similar level of peril and violence as the first book. Some mention of drug abuse (not by a major character) some discussion of self-harm. Religion is discussed.

At five years old Nimue moved to Camelot to live with her uncle, the kings own adviser, Merlin Ambrousius. Four years later another equally mysterious young person arrives in the city and takes up residence with Nim and her uncle. His name is Arthur, and to him a destiny is revealed that he never even dared to dream of. Nim and her uncle along with a few others will accompany Arthur on his journey and none of their lives will ever be quiet or simple or safe again.... This is my first upload on a site like this and i would just like to get some fed back. I write a lot, this ones kinda like a side story. I'm going to admit I always feel rather stupid when my friends read my stuff because I'm always sure its awful and they just aren't going to tell me so this seemed the best way to get some more honest fed back. always looking for advice if anyone is willing to give it. Arthur Pendragon is known was the King of the Britons, the defeater of the Saxons, and the leader of the Knights of the Roundtable. When the orphaned boy is suddenly thrust into the life of a legend, Arthur struggles with being king and all that it entails, even his eventual fate. This project was originally made to be a comedy. As time went on, however, I begun to treat it a bit more seriously. So if there's any parts that references something or seems weird to you, that's the reason.
