Ace Rothstein didn't believe in weakness. The casino king controlled every piece of his world-until Isa. She wasn't part of the plan. A quiet, innocent teenager with eyes that didn't belong in a place like Vegas. She didn't want his attention. She didn't want him.but this girl would become the great obsession of this possessive man
He watched her from the shadows, his obsession growing with every glance, every small act of defiance she dared to show. Isa was powerless in a world he owned, and Ace was willing to burn it all to have her.
"Stay away from me," she pleaded, her voice trembling as she backed away.
Ace stepped closer, his voice low and unyielding. "I don't lose, Isa. Not at the tables, not in life... and not with you."

Ace chuckled, low and bitter, the sound cutting through the silence like a blade. "Didn't know what? That she doesn't belong to you? That you had no right touching what's mine?"
The boy's breath hitched, but before he could answer, Ace crouched in front of him, his voice dropping to a whisper. "I'll ask you one last time. Did you kiss her?"
A shaky nod.
Ace's hand moved faster than the boy could react, the barrel of his gun pressing against his temple. "Wrong move, kid."
A single shot echoed into the night. Isa, hiding in the distance, clamped a hand over her mouth to keep from screaming. Ace stood slowly, brushing the dust off his pants before turning toward the car.
As he walked away, he spoke softly, knowing she was close enough to hear.
'No one gets between me and what's mine, Isa. Not him. Not anyone.'
He wanted her;
She'd always tell -- "I hope that you burn forever in hell."
He has her in his grasp;
This type of duo was never meant to last.

Then, I proceeded to pump the shot gun, my finger resting on the trigger. Aidan seemed a bit taken aback by this revelation and chose to take a retreating step. He eyed me with a small amount of caution from the action that I performed.
"Car keys. Phone. Now."
"Vie-
"My name is Arianna Hopkins...!" I stressed with absolute resolution, and that seemed to shut him up completely. He didn't like that I had denied the name that had had given me - the new life that I was supposed to live with him.
I would go back home.
I had to.
