Max and Megan have barely exchanged more than a few words, even though they've been neighbours for a year. At school, they're practically strangers. In his eyes, Megan is just pretending to be some kind of rebellious misfit, while to her, Max is nothing more than another shallow athlete obsessed with his own reputation. But when a disastrous Christmas party leaves Max unconscious in Megan's lawn, the two are set to spend the strangest Christmas Eve together - and might just discover they have more in common than they ever imagined. This is a standalone Christmas story. All characters, locations, and events described are entirely fictional. Warning! The story contains strong language that some readers may find offensive.

Megan Stewart hasn't known much happiness. She's only 17, but her life has been hard. However, despite all that she's been through, Megan keeps a smile on her face. Meet Jared Wesly. He's the bad boy of the school. However, he's not so much a bad boy. He's simply misunderstood. Only, he's been through quite a lot, just like Megan. In fact, they have more in common than Megan knows. When Jared and Megan's worlds collide (quite literally), Megan finds herself drawn to the boy that annoys her to no end, teases her, but makes her feel happy and protected, something almost unknown to her. Megan must make a choice in the end: Does she take a chance with the familiar boy, or does he become another "What if?" in her life? NOTE: I first wrote this story when I was around 13-14, so there will be cliches and cringe-worthy writing at moments. *Caution: Some language*
