Faeron laughed, a hearty sound that echoed against the stone walls. "Because guys are like eggs. Hard on the outside, soft on the inside, and with a pocket of air at the top."
Glaen snorted, shaking his head. "That might be the most absurd-and accurate-thing I've ever heard."
"Just wait," Faeron said, flashing him a grin. "You'll see."
Glaen chuckled again, his laughter fading as he glanced at her, his expression thoughtful. "Well, Faeron, if anyone can pull it off, it's you. Just don't forget-eggs break if you push too hard."
"I'll keep that in mind," Faeron said, her smile unwavering. "But I think this one's tougher than he looks."
Glaen leaned back against the wall, his arms crossed, studying Faeron with a raised brow. "So, I'm guessing he's always clueless?"
Faeron smirked, feigning a dramatic sigh. "Feeling sad for me yet? Lol"
Van and his friend Magus had reincarnated in another world with magic. Tasked to kill the demon lord, they set forth.
