"Spit it out, Shadow." He huffs, attention resuming back to his phone on his chest. He lifts his one arm to rest behind his hand and I can't stop myself from glancing down at the way his sweater lifted up from his waist, exposing the smallest area of skin. Immediately I feel my breathing pick up at the sight.

His eyes drift from his phone back to me. I swallow deeply, feeling myself wanting to retreat.

The corner of his mouth surprisingly tilts upwards. Does he find that amusing? I lift my head to show confidence and try and straighten my posture.
