In a world where Vampires, Were wolves and other creatures go bump in the night, they only fear one thing: The Chikara - Mindless demons that feed off any and everything.

This story follows Nathara, a ruthless vampire loyal to her sire, Armand Dalvyr - a cunning, merciless vampire lord with huge ambition. Whenever he needs someone taken care of, Nathara is the one he sends. They call her the executioner.

When one day, Armand's younger brother goes missing between human and Werewolf territory and is feared taken by the Chikara. Nathara is sent to retrieve him. In a show of peace, the human and Were council have allowed Nathara to enter their lands under one condition: She must go alone and is to be accompanied by the heir of the Were realm, Evander Ward and his team.
And there's a problem, Evander hates vampires more than any other being.
Nathara finds herself surrounded by humanity, something she once loathed but now finds herself pondering. Even the ruggedly handsome Werewolf heir Evander seems to get under her skin.
Nathara finds herself questioning her purpose and thawing out the stone cold heart she had thought died with her mortality.
