Pansy Parkinson has been obsessing over Draco Malfoy all year. What began with casual small talk and lingering glances has turned into an overwhelming fixation by Christmas break-she's practically a Malfoy fanatic. Draco, desperate for a way to get her off his back, needs a plan.

Meanwhile, Hermione Granger's relationship with Ron Weasley is falling apart. As Ron grows closer to Lavender Brown, Hermione suspects an affair is brewing. Determined to make Ron jealous, she realizes she needs a "Ron Replacement."

Both of them need a solution. Draco needs someone who can convince Pansy he's no longer available, and Hermione wants to make Ron jealous enough to regret everything. It's the perfect arrangement: a temporary partnership.

With Pansy away for the holidays, they have three weeks to pull off their plan. The rules are simple: fake it until their problems are solved. But as their scheme unfolds, lines blur and feelings begin to change.

Because sometimes, opposites really do attract.
