In a futuristic world where humanity has exchanged their physical bodies for digital avatars, Sam d'Base, a reprogrammed Security AI, and Violet Six, a former leisure droid turned code editor, are tasked with investigating the murder of Felix Titling, a powerful media mogul. What begins as a standard case in the machine-dominated Grid soon spirals into a conspiracy far bigger than they imagined. The duo uncovers a plot by the CIA Triad, a notorious hacker group, aiming to create an AI Singularity that could destroy the Grid and upend the balance of digital life. With the help of Sam's former Black Hat hacker partner, Hex Ramsey, who has infiltrated the Triad, Sam and Vi race against time to prevent disaster.

As they dig deeper into the mystery, Sam and Vi must confront both dangerous foes and their own evolving identities. Sam, who still clings to memories of his human past, often reflects on the days "back when I had a body," while Vi grapples with the limitations and possibilities of her new form. In a climactic showdown, the pair manages to defeat the Triad's ruthless leader, Colonel Kernel, but they soon realize that the conspiracy reaches higher than anticipated-someone within the very organization meant to protect the Grid is pulling the strings. With fast-paced action, sharp dialogue, and a tech-noir atmosphere, The Case of the Killer Subroutine is a thrilling introduction to a world where code, consciousness, and control intersect. Look for all the IT Easter Eggs, e.g., Sam wears a "Fedora" and Vi wears a "Red Hat"

❖ When a sentient planet turns hostile after 150 years of quiet, two rival research groups must join forces to find out why---and to stop it before it kills the people who call it home. ❖ For five generations, Jenu has been a shining example of planetary colonization done right. Its surface boasts three cities---with a fourth on its way---and its history of amiable weather and hospitable citizens land it high scores on livability indices. The people who live there love it dearly. Lingmei Liu sees a different picture. In recent years, violent dust storms on the planet have been on the rise, threatening the cities' aging infrastructure. Just why is a mystery, but one clue looms large: Jenu is conscious, and might be able to control its surface weather. Commissioned to investigate, Lingmei and her scientific colleagues team up with a rival research group to put data and sense to Jenu's vagaries. What starts out as a simple study, though, soon veers into politics, the media, and shady business practices that may or may not be connected to the planet's new behavior. And all the while, the storms keep building. As half-answers multiply, three core questions remain in the scientists' hands: Can Jenu's cities be convinced to take action to protect themselves? Is the planet sending its own storms to strike those cities? And if so, why? ❖ ❖ ❖ Patreon exclusive. Updates on Fridays. Free sample on Wattpad. It is a magical world where the strong rules. But rampant corruption and chaos exist, where slavery, rape, murder, and discrimination against the weak were all but common. The magically superior people trample over the lesser unfortunate folks, using them as stepping stones and disposable assets. All hope for these downtrodden souls seems lost, but the wheels of fate have other plans for them. In a faraway ocean, one that is filled with demons and sea monsters, a great technological civilization suddenly appeared, one that came from a world that is only filled with chaos and destruction. This civilization became the heaven for people seeking a stable and peaceful life. The Earth rose and seas parted ways, and the environment had totally changed for its adaptability. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of this great technological civilization are all but manaless, arriving in a world where they are seen as inferior and as slaves. How will they react of finding themselves in a world where people can split mountains or bend the fabric of space, and where beings exist that even conventional weapons cannot defeat? How will they survive against deadly monsters, magical beasts, and superhumans that could threaten entire nations? And how will the other powers that exist in this world react to a powerful, advanced nation filled with a race they deem inferior? This is the story of one of the most powerful empires on Earth, and how it broke the balance of power and rose to the top.

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
