Laito's smile faltered for just a moment, so quickly I might have imagined it. He propped himself up on his elbow, his green eyes glinting as he looked at me. "What kind of question is that, little bunny?"

"I just..." I hesitated, unsure how to put it into words. "I can't remember when I came here. How long it's been."

Laito laughed softly, though there was a strange edge to it. "That doesn't matter much, does it?" he said, waving a hand dismissively.

I opened my mouth to respond but stopped myself, biting my lip instead.

"No, of course, it doesn't," Laito continued, his tone lilting and playful as he patted the space beside him on the bed. "Come here, little bunny. You're being silly again."
