In the afterlife, you can either go to reincarnation, or you can go to Hell - not necessarily for punishment, but to reflect on what regret you have, or what led you to die; and once you figure it out, you are led to the path of reincarnation. You will then be given an invisible red thread, to connect you to the people you'll need to grow in your next life.

But throughout the history of time, four exception appeared : four girls were born with very visible red marks on their bodies. Seen as a marker of evil, the girls were led to live horrible, painful lives... And even more painful deaths. But maybe the answer wasn't in the living world all along...
