This is a rewrite of a childhood favourite of mine that's not very popular but still holds nostalgic value, at least to me. While technically retaining he same story, this is the definitive version of the feature-length special "Calling All Engines!" starring Thomas the Tank Engine, Diesel 10, Emily, James, Toby, and all their friends!
When Sir Topham Hatt announces the building of a new airport on Sodor, old rivalries between steam engines and diesels rapidly resurface. A trick by Thomas backfires badly and soon the future of the Island and Sir Topham Hatt's railway is in jeopardy. Can Thomas persuade the diesels and steam engines to settle their differences and save their Island and their home?
Includes Roll Along Thomas' Karaoke sessions of original songs written for the special by Ed Welch, including the cut "Dream Song" and the "Engine Roll Call".

James returns from the mainland after being send to work there after a request for more engines from the other railway to help out during the busy season. It had been a few weeks now and James couldnt wait to see his friends again but upon returning to the island, he received the biggest shock in his life. Every(Well most) steam engines had became faceless and had all became soulless. Its up to James to find out what had happened during the weeks he had been away, find survivors and find who is behind this mystery. The answer that he seeks for would be a diesel that the island had thought would never return and had placed a curse on the island. "I arrived from Brighton to the North Western Railway, even though I didn't mean to. I was bored of just shunting coaches for the big engines in the station, and I yearned to see the world. But then, a black engine was pushed by the trucks into a field. I rescued him with the breakdown train, and Sir Topham Hatt awarded me with my own special coaches and my own branch line! Now I can work by myself and see the other engines pass by. They can shunt their coaches themself for all I care." (You'd be surprised at how big the fandom is) After the crap that was the HiT era, which was what inspired me to do this in the first, the Sharon Miller era, the Big World Big Adventures era, and the cartoon crap that the Reverend Wilbert Awdry was against that's coming up this fall, I've decided to take it upon myself to rewrite everything Thomas in a more detailed literary format. I aim to fix everything in S8-16 and S22-24, and what's coming next.
