After their battle with Ronan, the Guardians of the Galaxy find themselves exploring the storm-ravaged ruins of Kovarel-Prime, a forgotten Kree outpost shrouded in mystery. Deep within its crumbling halls, they uncover a stasis pod containing a woman unlike any they've ever encountered: Nyssa Solari. Once the greatest Guardian chosen by the Traveler, Nyssa was a legend in her universe, known for her unparalleled mastery of Titan, Warlock, and Hunter abilities.

In a desperate act to save her world from an unstoppable threat, the Traveler imbued Nyssa with a unique gift: the infinite generation of Light energy, making her far more powerful than any Guardian before her.
