Jake's Plane

Jake and Brett, two neighborhood friends who were once close, share the experience of being misunderstood outsiders. One boy grapples with the harsh realities of a poverty-stricken life, while the other struggles to be seen in the digital landscape of his peers. Jake, grandson of proud ex-military fighter pilot Sal Casselfield, is torn between his passion for craftsmanship of model aircrafts and the desire for more social acceptance in the technological age. Brett, on the other hand, is a socially withdrawn young teen, regressing to a childlike state, lost in his own world of birds and gazing sky-bound. Brett also clings to the belief in Santa Claus with unshakable certainty, firmly convinced to an unusual degree for his age, the rest of the world being completely upside down to him.
