This is a heartwarming story about an abandoned baby girl named Eira who is found on Christmas Eve by Hollyrose, the headmistress of the Cailean Children's Home in the medieval town of Eilienaxa.  Despite the hardships they face, Hollyrose is determined to make Christmas special for Eira and the other children. The story follows them as they celebrate Christmas Eve at the town festival and Christmas Day at the home, culminating in a magical day of gift-giving, caroling, and storytelling.
