Memory. Whoever could’ve figured that one word could cause so much pain, so much chaos, so much destruction? Memory can be such a wonderful thing, and yet, it can be so powerful that it can drive people to do things that they later on in life regret. The memory is something you sometimes cannot control, and this is sometimes the downfall of many people. To be honest, it would be all good and well if we could forget the things we choose to, but unfortunately in most cases, we can’t. There are things that stay implanted in your mind as if they were a blood-sucking leech which lives on your guilt and regret. However, this word ‘memory’ will always send a chill down Janessa Burkland’s spine, for this one word alone brought on so much misery in her life.

Remembering what happened, all that happened and how could I forget... A mind is a terrible thing to have. Years have passed and I still haven't forgotten. How could I forget?! How could I forget... Love! Love is terrible! You can only disagree if you're in love or if you never were... but I will not waste all my words on contradictory feelings and empty definitions, lost echoes and dead dreams. After all, this is not a love story, its a story about love.
