38 year old Sydney Adamu is tired. She has lost the love of her life, her business and now has to start from zero after years of putting all of her work, time and energy into becoming a success. 25 year old Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto is exhausted. He has lost the most important person in his life and now has to go back home to face all of the trauma that he had been running from. When they find each other it is like the stars aligned. They are everything that they need and are missing in their pursuit of greatness, however, Carmy's intensity makes Sydney question if maybe she should give up and look for stability instead. Realizing his mistake, Carmy asks Sydney to give him 1 year. 1 year to open their dream restaurant. 1 year to make it work. 1 year to be great.

Madelyn Medina doesn't just critique food - she deconstructs the chefs who make it. Every plate is a fingerprint, every movement behind the pass a clue. Her reviews are quietly feared in high-end kitchens across Europe not just for their precision, but for their unnerving accuracy. She doesn't just say the sauce lacked depth - she'll tell you the chef did, too. When her editor sends her to Copenhagen for a discreet series on discipline and artistry in modern kitchens, Madelyn doesn't expect to be moved - until a single pastry changes everything. Delicate, balanced, and hauntingly personal, it leaves her breathless. She becomes obsessed with writing about it, about the chef who made it, but no one will give her a name. Years pass before she ever tastes him again- just glimpses, crumbs of his presence in a screaming kitchen. And then, finally, she watches him work. Luca Poulter. Methodical. Silent. Composed. And somehow, impossibly more revealing in his stillness than most are with words. >Chef Luca x OC >he doesn't have a last name thats been revealed yet so please forgive me
