Only a quick essay you can take as many themes. It is nearly 1000 words to the dot, so relatively short, and only one chapter. Please enjoy and if you wish to see why I wrote it, read further down this description.

I recommend not reading my intentions first, and coming up with your own conclusion before reading my intentions.

My very first intentions with this piece was to encapsulate the feel of self sabotage, killing off everything you need just to end fulfilling what your anticipated thought was, and this feeling specifically that I stuggle a lot with in my own mental health struggles. My second which I came upon maybe in the end of the first paragraph was belief. You cannot fulfil something without believing in it. In this, you, as it is written in second person, are the man/person (though I refer to 'you' as a man, I mean for this to be as like the shortened 'human' instead of 'of the male sex',) and you believe that this fortune teller is showing you the future. But this is in fact only a showing of your own thoughts, but you full heartedly believe in this, it is never questioned whether the fortune teller is legitimate because it is assumed they are. The last major theme of the essay is determination. The idea that the world and therefore your life is written out, you have a destiny to which you will come to no matter what choices you make. I feel this is the most obvious one, as I often plainly write 'determines', and 'determination' at one point, this is just it. I came to this when walking through the basic points I wanted to make, in my head, while writing this, there was a reason why a fortune teller felt like the most obvious choice. Though they may mot determine your future, it suggests your future is determined. And in the genuine question that kicked off my thoughts on this, 'can the 'a snail is following you around for ten years, if it touches you, you die' prompt be turned into a question about a metaphor for mental health?'
