I moved carefully through the darkness, gun in one hand, flashlight in the other. The metallic walls of the abandoned warehouse glinted faintly under the beam, shadows stretching ominously around me. I shouldn't have come here-not alone. It is around 1 am...I didn't even let my boss nor any collegue know that I'm here...I just couldn't ignore the lead.
I was having a late night snack earlier when my phone suddenly lit up, showing a message that got sent to my phone. It was an anonymous tip, just a single message, no name and no context.
They said Lio might be here.
My breaths came shallow as I scanned the rows of some boxes and rusted shelves. The air felt heavy, the silence pressing in on me. A faint creak behind me made me freeze. I listened, my finger twitches against the trigger, but there was nothing-
Suddenly, a pair of arms slid around my waist. Warm breath brushed against my neck, and my heart stopped.
"Hey, princess" a voice purred, quietly and teasing.
