Winter Quinnell - After her father is charged with murder, Winter is forced to leave the country and start fresh at Highland Private School. She's kind, though guarded - cold on the outside, but with good intentions beneath the surface.

Roman Vitale - Mysterious, silent, and sharp as a blade. He shares classes with Winter, and by an unfortunate twist, they're paired up in the same dorm room. Roman rarely speaks, and when he does, it's usually a threat.
