The first time Lucanis saw Rook, he thought a desire demon was attempting to entrance him. There was no other explanation for how the man of every fantasy he could ever imagine was right there in front of him-in the Ossuary, of all places.
Then Rook spoke, and Lucanis was brought back to reality, because in his perfect fantasy, there was no way his dream man would speak with a Tevene accent. But Rook did. Rook and Solas battle it out and wind up locked in the Fade together. Will they kill each other or will they heal Thedas and themselves? So, I didn't really like the ending of Veilguard and thus decided to write my own. This series begins at the "bad ending" where Rook and Solas end up in the Fade together (though Rook survives this). I incorporated some of the other aspects of the "better endings" where most of the Veilguard survives, barring Davrin/Assan and Bellara. I stove to give Rook what she was desperately lacking in game, which was a solid origin story. Yes, I am aware that it's a difficult backstory and it is intended to be that way for many reasons that will reveal themselves as the series goes forward. There are definitely some adult themes here. Those who already follow my work know that I don't shy away from the dark. This is a story about lies, anger, love, obsession, redemption and insane chemistry--not all in that order. I also felt my poor Inquisitor deserved some agency and through this story, I was able to give it to her. If you are easily triggered or don't like Solas with anyone else besides the Inquisitor, this might not be the series for you. I'm just giving a fair warning here. Please note chapter one begins with good deal of in-game dialogue.

Dragon Age: The Surviver
Following a lot of the Dragon Age game series storyline by Bioware but with a twist... A young Dalish girl's clan is slaughtered by Tevinter mages but they take the girl as a slave and burns Lyrium into her skin. (Yes, like a certain angsty porcupine we know.) Before the girl is taken to Tevinter she over powers the mages with her new abilities and is found by a group of Templars. Not knowing what to do with the girl they take her back to the Ferelden Circle of Magi where she later on meets the Grey Warden... She's bi so she'll blush at anyone who flirts with her, like most of Dragon Age characters. Her romance won't happen until Veilguard. I originally started writing this to help get Dragon Age out of my system but it's starting to make my love for it grow stronger and I wish to share it with others. I'm open to any lore corrections. I unfortunately don't have any of the books so some of the lore may be lost to me but I'll try my best with the knowledge I've gained from the games, series and movie.
