After uniting Berk with their dragon companions, Hiccup and the Riders set off to explore uncharted territories in search of new dragons and knowledge. Their journey brings them to a mysterious island shrouded in fog, one they've never encountered before. At its heart, they discover a massive cave, its walls adorned with ancient carvings that tell the story of a legendary being known as Godzilla, the King of Monsters.
The carvings depict a time long before dragons ruled the skies, when titanic beings called Kaiju roamed the earth. Godzilla, the last and greatest of them, was more than a monster-he was a guardian who maintained balance among all living things. Though the legend says he vanished into the depths of the ocean centuries ago, the island's tremors and the dragons' growing unease hint that the King of Monsters may not be as dormant as the stories suggest.
Meanwhile, Drago Bludvist, a warlord bent on domination, is amassing a dragon army with the intention of conquering Berk and the lands beyond. His growing threat disrupts the natural order, sending ripples across the world that awaken something ancient and unstoppable. Godzilla rises from the depths of the sea, his return heralded by earth-shaking roars and burning skies.
As dragons across the world instinctively bow to Godzilla's presence, Hiccup and the Riders must navigate an impossible situation. Can they convince this ancient King to aid them against Drago's forces, or will humanity itself be deemed the real threat to balance? With Berk's future at stake and the King of Monsters walking the earth once more, Hiccup and Toothless face their greatest challenge yet-a battle where even the Alpha of dragons might not be enough.
When Godzilla emerges, kings will fall, and legends will rise.
