In a world where the Earth's surface has become lethally dangerous, humanity has taken refuge in giant mechanized cities-swarms-hanging above the poisoned wasteland. Teenagers who reach a certain age are sent for the so-called "cleansing"-a mysterious process from which no one returns the same. No one knows what happens behind the doors, but everyone understands: defying the system means not only risking your life but also the survival of the swarm itself.

Elina, a bold and stubborn girl from the lower levels, loses the most precious thing to her-her best friend Kai, chosen for the cleansing. But instead of resigning herself, she decides to fight, breaking the rules that no one has dared to question. In her attempt to save Kai, she accidentally stumbles upon an old secret hidden deep within the swarm and discovers the key to unraveling what the "cleansing" truly hides.
