They watch him from afar, like they always do. Mepad is kind, gentle and sometimes sassy, but always good natured. He's always got a soft smile and a pretty face. Even in the dark times Mepad still pursues, still comforts and most of all, still loves, and the more Balloon watches him - the more they fall in love with him. They've never really talked, honestly, it's just been Balloon watching him on the sidelines. Mepad is everything Balloon isn't - loved - and very loved at that. Except by Toilet, and really, no one liked Toilet - sometimes Balloon felt bad for them, but then they remembered how Toilet treated them, and suddenly, they wouldn't feel that bad anymore.

After months of being homeless, Balloon is finally let into Hotel OJ, although its not the food or shelter they think about, its the kind man always smiling, Mepad.
