After the vampirism incident and the defeat of Fyodor, the people of Yokohama can finally return to normal. Or as normal as a city like that can get.

 But some things stayed abnormal. Like the vampire issue. There wasn't any cure to that, so the living dead still roamed around the people.

 Well, excluding Akutagawa. He hasn't awoken since.

 So imagine Atsushi's suprise when he goes to visit his 'rival' and finds him awake and... different.

(The events in recent manga chapters aren't included here, and I do not own any of the characters.)
