Jason 'Cain' Evers was a former Delta Force Operator who had left the army after his unit had been ambushed and decimated by insurgents. Three years later, he was recruited as the Element Leader for Cold Harbor Special Project Group (S.P.G.) Assault Team Phalanx. In 2019, a rift opened up between Earth and an alternate Earth, codenamed Terra. A Cold Harbor Crisis Element, Callsign Seer, had been sent into this Terra, only to vanish, along with a United Security (USEC) Team and a Battle Encounter Assault Regiment (B.E.A.R.) Team. Cold Harbor has been Contracted by the Central Intelligence Agency to set up a Forward Operating Base (F.O.B.) and locate the missing Russian PMCs as well as investigate reports of Terragroup having set up clandestine research facilities in this alternate world.

In other novels, the plot usually gets messed up because of the transmigrators whereas Shi Shen, the male protagonist, messed up his own plot before others even had the chance to do it. Transmigrator A, "His beauty is unparalleled, his skin is white as jade. He has a king aura born to be a sovereign Pei All bullshit! All I saw was a nerd with skin dark as charcoal! Sovereign my butt! He just lived in an old neighborhood downtown!" Transmigrator B, "System, I say why would you even give me the plot when nothing goes according to it! 1 star rating, 1 star!!"
