What... if Yichen had been too tired, and with the last thing that broke the camel's back, Yichen decided to end the cycle of death curse that happened thousands of years ago.
don't take me wrong I loved the ending of The Fang of Fortune but in my opinion, Yichen's poor soul had been gone through enough, and killing his best buddy would certainly it wouldn't ended with two strings of hair going white, even if he knew zhu yan was alive somewhere. so he must have done something right? something extreme, something that would end up making zhu yan regret rushing into Yichen room, rushing him to make a choice, rushing him to kill him.
