When young billionaire Keith Huntington receives an invitation to a wedding from his hometown, he is quick to reject it after learning that his ex-best friend, Mayla Delmont, will be the maid of honor. Keith's mother incessantly begs him to go to the wedding, and eventually, he gives in.

Mayla is not so excited to see him, either. Best friends since kindergarten, their friendship unfortunately ended during their sophomore year of college due to heavy conflict. She has been deeply hurt since. After all, she had been in love with him her whole life. Little did she know that he had been in love with her, too.

Both being twenty-nine now, Keith and Mayla grow anxious to see each other. Attempting to reconnect, they take a trip down memory lane of their childhood while learning new things about each other.
