Voyage
I can't say that I caught a wink of sleep last night.
There was a sense to grapple with my will. I have always leaned towards going to the America's. My heart races when I think of it. Scotland been my home.
Even with the constant bickering and bloody battles between clans. God gives each man wisdom. A mind, heart and soul to make this decision. I have made peace with my anx in leaving my homeland. One thing I hold onto, is wherever I am, Scotland will be with me.
The sky looks ominous and the wind is treacherous.
Storm is brewing almost coaxing us not to go. We the have men and woman walk the streets towards where the ship is docked.
The rough waves are rocking the boat before we even depart. I can see the mates preparing the mast and sails for the arduous journey. This Earl of Perth Expedition has been pen on signs all about town. We are all coming with the clothes on our back and a few things. Ah, I see
Captain Patrick McGregor and his good wife Margret.
I was delighted they chose to go. I know them well enough. I'm sure I'm not the only man from The Clan Sutherland. Good people of Scotland are boarding the ship. I wave and to The Mc Gregor.
Margaret seemed more at peace as she smiled and waned back. It's good to have friends we can count on. Especially, fellow Scots.
I thank Hod above that I am not alone. This indeed is not alone. This indeed is willing us forward. The ship is creaking and moaning as we board. I smile and laugh to my self with courage.
Many brave hearts are here. You can feel God gorging us together as one as we say our good bye's to our families and Scotland.
