"I won't love you, James. I never will. I will never, ever love you the way you love me" Regulus sneered. James felt his heart break. He felt something deep in him break. He felt like he couldn't breathe. He stared up at Regulus, his eyes starting to tear up. Regulus didn't look like he regretted any word. He seemed unbothered. James looked away and nodded slowly.
"Okay. Yeah, no I get it. I get it all" James stood up from his chair and grabbed his stuff. Regulus moved away from him, not even trying to stop him. "You were just having fun, right? Fun or something. Totally understand"
"James, no-" Regulus sounded sorry, he sounded apologetic and it made James feel disgusted.
"See you around Black"
Aka James falls in love with a boy and cries the stars for him.

"Reggie? Regulus? Whats wrong?" James tried to reach out to him, but Regulus pulled himself away. His chest felt like it was being ripped out, his throat being scratched violently by the attack of petals climbing up. His coughing got louder and more violent before finally a handful of sunflowers fell into Regulus' hand. James stared down at him, an unknown expression on his face but Regulus didn't have time to study him. He tried to hide the petals but he knew he was to late. James had already seen them, and he could see the obvious splatter of blood on his chin. "What the fuck just happened? Are those sunflowers?" James once again tried to reach out to him, going for his hands, wanting to get a closer look, but Regulus snatched his hands away and took a few more steps back. "You- you didn't see that, do you hear me? You didn't see it" And before he knew it, he was already at the bottom of the astronomy tower stairs, leaving James standing in the middle of the tower. There's a moment of silence, and then it is James who twists their arms, locking the charm in place. Not that either of them will remember it the following day, drunk as they are. -------- James and Regulus get really drunk and make an unbreakable vow. James swears that Regulus will be in love with him by the end of the year, and Regulus swears not to push him away and make him try. When they wake up the following day, they remember nothing of it. But everyone knows what happens if you don't go through with it, so they can do nothing but try to recall and respect their drunken promises or be met by sweet old death.
