This story is about how Monié's life becomes a real-life movie she can't pause-only survive. And at the center of it is Saint, a man who was never meant to be harmless. He enters her life quietly, almost accidentally, but stays like a mark she can't wash off. Saint doesn't fall in love the way people are supposed to. He studies. He guards. He decides. And once he decides that Monié is his, the world narrows until it's just the two of them standing against everything else.

Saint is morally gray in the way that scares people-he knows right from wrong, he just doesn't care if the wrong thing keeps her safe. His protection is obsessive, suffocating, relentless. He lies for her, fights for her, ruins himself for her without ever asking if she wants saving. With him, love feels like loyalty sharpened into a weapon.
