Katsuki Bakugou and Eijirou Kirishima's lives first collide on the rooftop of Aldera Junior High, where Bakugou saves Kirishima from attempting to end his life. Haunted by the guilt of failing to save a childhood friend in a similar situation, Bakugou's harsh but genuine words spark a glimmer of hope in Kirishima, pulling him back from the edge.

Years later, they find themselves reunited in high school, their roles as strangers slowly shifting. Kirishima, inspired by Bakugou's fiery resilience, begins his journey of self-improvement, building his confidence and rediscovering his passion for life. Bakugou, in turn, is forced to confront his own flaws and emotional walls as Kirishima's optimism and unwavering support chip away at his harsh exterior.

Through moments of vulnerability, clashes of personality, and shared experiences, the two navigate the struggles of high school life, learning to lean on each other. Their relationship evolves from reluctant acquaintances to genuine friends and, eventually, to something deeper as they challenge and inspire one another to be better versions of themselves.

"Under the Rooftop" is a slow-burn story of healing, growth, and finding love in the most unexpected places. Together, Bakugou and Kirishima learn that even the strongest walls can be broken, and even the heaviest burdens can be shared.
