Violette's life was about to change. On his birthday, the letter arrived: "We are thrilled to have you join the ISSA family and are confident in your ability to rise to the challenges ahead." It was no surprise. He had trained for this moment ever since his adopted father, a high-ranking member of the Institute, had seen his potential. The ISSA was his destiny, and the Paradoxes, the terrifying entities his father had always warned him about, were the very reason for it. He wasn't just excited; he was prepared. His whole life had been a series of lessons, sparring sessions, and mental drills, all leading to this point. The letter was a confirmation, a sign that his efforts were about to pay off. Mizushin, on the other hand, wasn't so sure. She had joined the ISSA out of necessity, not destiny. The Paradoxes had taken someone she loved, and the grief that followed propelled her into action. She wanted answers, and the ISSA offered the only path to uncovering them. Their paths would soon cross, and although their motivations differed, they would need each other to survive. The world was changing, and the Paradoxes were only the beginning of the mysteries they were about to unravel. But as they entered the ISSA, they would discover something far darker than they expected-an unsettling truth hidden within the Institute itself. Even the ISSA had its own secrets, ones that could unravel everything they thought they knew.
